About Timothy

Timothy Gilliam is a Kentucky government relations professional who helps clients navigate the Kentucky General Assembly and build winning strategies to advance policy, funding, and community priorities across south-central and western Kentucky. He combines campaign and party experience, grassroots advocacy, and public-sector engagement to move issues from concept to execution. He maintains trusted working relationships with legislative leadership, key committee members, and senior staff, helping clients engage decision-makers efficiently and effectively.

From 2008 to 2012, Timothy worked on political campaigns across the Commonwealth, including efforts supporting Congresswoman Anne Northup, Congressman Brett Guthrie, and the Republican Party of Kentucky.

In 2014, Timothy helped launch the Kentucky chapter of Americans for Prosperity (AFP) and later served as Deputy State Director. In that role, he led grassroots organizing and coalition-building efforts to support AFP’s policy priorities in the Kentucky General Assembly.

In 2018, Timothy joined Senator Mitch McConnell’s official staff as a Field Representative covering south-central Kentucky and portions of western Kentucky. He worked closely with local elected officials, community leaders, and constituents. Helping them engage federal agencies and navigate complex issues impacting their communities.

In 2023, Timothy founded Gilliam Consulting, a government relations firm focused on helping organizations and communities achieve results through strategic advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and effective government communications.

​

Timothy is active in Republican Party leadership, serving as Treasurer of the Warren County Republican Party, Chairman of the Second District Republican Committee, and as a member of the Republican Party of Kentucky Executive Committee.

A proud graduate of Western Kentucky University, Timothy lives in Bowling Green with his wife, Alexa, and their two daughters, Sutton and Reese.
